Jamaican-American hip-hop artist Sean Kingston was the featured performer at Stephen F. Austin State University’s SpringFest which took place at 8pm on Friday, April 14 in the William R. Johnson Coliseum. This year’s concert marks the first hip-hop concert the SAA has produced for their SpringFest event.

Hosted by SFA’s Student Activities Association, SpringFest served as a make up for the last-minute cancellation of the fall Homecoming concert. Doors to the Coliseum opened at 6:30pm as hundreds of students, faculty, and staff gathered to attend the performance.

The event concluded with a dance contest facilitated by Kingston. Eight fans from the audience were chosen to come on stage and dance, while the crowd chose a winner at the end
