Marcus Jackson, Jr. is a interdisciplinary artist who has practiced digital and film photography for almost a decade. He previously worked as a Staff Photographer and Graphic Designer for SFASU's The Pine Log Newspaper. He has also previously served as President of the university's American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) chapter, Vice President of the university's American Advertising Federation (AAF) chapter, and is a Multicultural Caucus member of the South Central chapter of the Society for Photographic Education. He attained his BFA at Stephen F. Austin State University, focusing in Digital Media and minoring in Graphic Design.
He is currently based in San Antonio, and formerly served as  a member and Studio Artist of Fire House Nac, a Nacogdoches local art collective, partnered with and partially funded by the Nacogdoches Arts Collaborative, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing public arts and music initiatives, as well as event planning in East Texas.
Experienced in fine art photography, professional photography, and photojournalism, his work has been featured in multiple galleries across the south, including the Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in Nacogdoches, TX, and the BPCC Donna Service Gallery in Bossier City, Louisiana.
